Jan 2001:  Microsoft and Tornado-Insider survey UK Christmas online

The Microsoft / Tornado-Insider E-Business Survey polled 220 randomly selected online consumer retailers in the UK, both privately held and publicly traded, during the first two weeks of December.

October 2000:Sunday Times / Online Research Agency

The Sunday Times together with the Online Research Agency publish a quarterly Online Confidence Index.
bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 71% of small firms and 47% of large firms believe the UK is a good place to do e-business.
bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 17% of small firms and 18% of large firms believe the UK government is doing all it can to encourage e-business.
bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 25% of companies polled thought their revenues would increase, with small firms expecting most growth
bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 20% of the sample said their online revenues were growing at more than 40% monthly.

 

October 2000: Survey by webprobe.co.uk

This was a year long survey of more than 13,000 UK web users who were asked how they had heard about the site they were currently surfing.

October 2000:: Survey by Datamonitor for  Peoplesoft

This survey into European businesses and the Internet was carried out in seven countries, and asked respondents whether they saw the Internet as a revenue-earning tool or a cost-saving function.

(Germany   84% , Sweden  84%, Netherlands 77%)

bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 52% of UK respondents saw it as a revenue-earning tool.
bluebul.gif (235 bytes) 41% overall said they would not use the Internet for large volume transactions and payments. Most confident in Internet security were:

Sweden - 73%, France  -  72%
