Proofreading and editing services                

We offer a proofreading and editing service that ensures your written work is expressed in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. We can work with either British or American English.

Level A - Proofreading

Our proofreading service includes checking for basic grammar and punctuation errors.
We will correct:

• Spelling and usage

• Capitalisation

• Punctuation

• Basic grammar

Level B - Copyediting

Copyediting is a more in-depth version of our proofreading service.
Copyediting includes all proofreading corrections, plus :

• Sentence structure

• Awkward phrasing

•  Transition and  flow problems

• Word choice

Level C - Rewriting

Rewriting is our most comprehensive service. We will reorganise and rewrite your document, focusing on:

• Clarity of entire document

• Flow of thoughts and  ideas

• Overall quality and readability

Proposals

We need to know the extent of your document, font size and the wordcount. We prefer to see a short extract of the work so we can give you an accurate, fixed price proposal. We will get back to you with a cost and time estimate and ask for your go-ahead to start editing.

Quality

We assign each job to the professional best suited to the assignment. A rigorous quality control process monitors the work of our proofreaders/editors to ensure your job is done quickly, efficiently, and correctly.

In addition to meeting stringent academic qualifications, our proofreaders / editors must have substantial practical experience.

Deliverables

Upon completion, your edited document will be returned to you via e-mail. We will send you a copy showing the changes we have made, as well as a clean, fully edited copy of your document. Printed versions of these are available at additional cost.

Billing and Payment

We will invoice you via e-mail upon completing your document. If you prefer a paper invoice or receipt, please let us know.

There are two ways to pay for our services.

Our preferred method of payment is PayPal, an online payment service which allows you to pay with a credit card or to send money directly from your bank account.

You can also pay us by a sterling or US dollar bank cheque.
